Altaf Tadavi born 30 August 1999 known professionally as MC Stan is an Indian rapper. He is credited for reintroducing trap and mumble rap subgenre of hip hop in India. He rose to fame in 2018 when he released his song Samajh Meri Baat ko where he dissed fellow Indian rappers Divine and Emiway Bantai.[5]He started getting more popularity because of his Wata Song. He has released two studio albums Tadipaar 2020 and Insaan 2022. He produces his own songs which makes him different from the other rappers.He recently participated in Colors TV's Reality show Bigg Boss Hindi season 16 and emerged as the winner by the host Salman Khan. He was the most voted for contestant in the history of Bigg Boss. He has the record for the most watched Instagram live in India with over 541k+ live watching.He calls himself Basti ka Hasti, which roughly translates to the young slum boy who wrote his own destiny. He is also one of the most hyped DHH artist.


Early life

Altaf Tadavi was born in Tadiwala road Pune Maharashtra into a Muslim family. His father was a policeman in Maharashtra and his mother is a housewife.
Since childhood Stan who had an attachment to his eccentric mood and hip hop, started singing Qawwali at age 12. However he was more interested in hip hop than Qawwali. Later Stan started composing songs.
Legal issues
The kondhwa police had arrested Tadvi and his four friends for assaulting a man over a dispute involving the alleged attempt of mowing down a puppy in the Raheja Vista area of Mohammed Wadi Pune. While the incident took place on October 13,2018 . The arrests were made on October 14,2018.They were produced before a local court on October 15,2018. Which remanded them in police custody for two days.

The police had invoked Indian penal code IPC Sections 143 offence against public tranquillity  147 rioting 148 rioting armed with deadly weapon. 149 unlawful assembly 326 voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means 323 voluntarily causing hurt 504 intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace and 506  criminal intimidation.
